Saturday April 8th, forty-five members donated several hours of their time to assist Carl Teschke and his crew with some basic spring cleanup chores. It was an excellent show of support by our members and reflects the special care the membership has for the club. During the cleanup, nearly the entire course was raked to remove broken branches, twigs, pine needles and cones, etc. Time allowed for sand trap work and cleanup of some tee boxes, along with chain sawing some blowdown trees, including a large one that was laying across the No. 2 tee box. Special kudos to Gene Tansey who completed the chain saw work. Following the work, the volunteers were treated to pizza and beverages in the clubhouse. The volunteer effort saved the greens crew nearly 120 hours in labor, which is just outstanding. The club extends its sincere gratitude for the valuable time the members donated.
