The late John (Jack) E. Shea, the former Amherst Golf Club Historian, developed a detailed account of the club history and maintained records of past club champions, club presidents and winners for key club tournaments. His book:

The course record was recorded by Jesse Morgan IV, set in 2003 with a score of 62 in the last round of the Club Championship – playing against his father Jesse Morgan III, who had the old course record of 65!
