  • Mark your calendars to play in the 9 hole Over 50 tournament on Sunday, September 10th at 1:30 pm. This is our last tournament of the year, open to all ages, however, the $100 prize will be awarded to a player 50 years old or older. Sign up by Sat. 9/9 at 5 pm or call Dave at 256-6894. Registration is $10.
  •  Please arrange to finish your pairings for Match Play asap.
  • Friday, September 15 is the last day to submit Ringer cards.
  • Fall League will end on Sept. 28.
  • Niners will continue playing through Sept., finishing on Oct. 3.

The inaugural charity event for the Hospice of the Fisher Home was a great success.  Elizabeth Weissbach, the director of the Hospice, was present with plenty of support from volunteers . . . over $10k was raised for this important non-profit, and AGC was please to host the event, which was ramrodded by local member David Farnham.

2017 St Brigid Scramble Results Posted August 10, 2017

The Saint Brigid scramble was played on August 9th and was success with 14 teams entered and raising over $9,000 for a good cause.  The team of Dave Casey, Dave Pettengill, Mike Hyleman, David Rist, and Tom Sullivan pushed the envelope with a score of 56 . . . 14 under par.  Congratulations to all who played!

  • The last 18 hole women’s tournament, the President’s Cup, will be held on Sunday, Aug. 20.  Maggie, Mary Ellen, Rosie, Ginny and Megan have signed up to organize this tournament and will be posting details soon. Reminder: the entry fee is $15 with both gross and net prizes awarded. Upon completion of this tournament, Carl will start his aeration of the greens.
  • The Twilight League comes to an end on Aug. 17 followed by our fun night on Thurs. Aug. 24. Though this isn’t part of the league competition, we hope everyone will play and share pizza afterward. A sign-up sheet will be available on Aug. 17. Spoiler alert ~ we will not be playing the 3-3-3 format this year.
  • The Niners will continue their regular schedule into Sept.
  • Pro Dave Twohig will likely start his Fall League on Thurs. Aug. 31 and wants to remind us that match play competitions should be finished ASAP.
  • The final AGCWA event, OVER 50, will take place on Sun. Sept. 10. So mark your calendars and stay tuned…
