The Hadley Open was played the weekend of Sept. 10/11th.  Honors for the 2-Ball Best Ball were split by the teams of Jay and Jesse Morgan and Bruce White and Sam Moody.  Bryan Pelchat won the Individual Stroke Play portion of the Hadley Open (Hadley residents only), with Dave Farnham taking the net portion.

Here are a few photos from the Junior Golf Championship played over Labor Day weekend.

The Junior Club Championship was played over Labor Day weekend, with Evan Rutherford taking the title with an 82-90=172.  Nate and J.B. Mills came in 2nd and 3rd respectively.  Ryan Leonard won the 12 yr division, with Nate Mills being second.  Samantha Teschke won the Girls Division.  Congratulations to all who played in the event!

Three A-B-C-D tournaments were played over Labor Day weekend, Sunday Sept 4th’s 4-Ball Best 2 and Monday Sept 5th’s Best Ball, the Women’s 4 Ball Best Ball on Monday.

The tournament results are provided below:

Superintendent Carl Teshke would like the membership to know that the course has reduced it’s irrigation to “greens only”, and tees and fairways will likely be going brown if they aren’t already.   This is in compliance with the Town of Amherst’s Mandatory Water Use Restriction.

Jesse has memorialized No. 9 through his art photography, and now has gone one step further with his ace on the hole.

Gene Klos and Deb McCulloch won the Men’s and Women’s President’s Cup tournaments, respectively, which were played on Sunday August 21st.  Deb’s round of 74 gross (64 net) flirted with the women’s course record; Deb had 6 birdies.  Gene won with 2 under and scored 4 birdies in his winning round.  David Lithgow won the Vice President’s Cup with a net 63.  Kate Hersey won the 9-Hole Women’s President Cup.

Dot Ashworth, 1922-2016

The Club regrets the passing of Dot Ashworth, who was part of the 90 yr old membership with the Club.  Her obituary is provided here.
