2015 Founder’s Cup Results Posted June 1, 2015
The 2015 Founder’s Cup was played on Saturday May 30th with Jean Gowdey taking honors this year with a net 72. Susan Plante and Marie Appleby tied for the runner-up with a net 75.

DICK GARBER MEMORIAL RESULTS
The Dick Garber Memorial team match play event was played this past weekend, with two 6-team divisions. Sam Lussier and Adam Lussier won the 1st division (Leaman), while Winslow Renderer and Rich Fay won the 2nd division (Cutler). Complete results for the 2015 Garber Event are found here.

MEMORIAL DAY and MAY 30th and 31st WEEKEND TOURNAMENT RESULTS
Several tournaments were played on Memorial Day, the marquis event being the Women’s Memorial, which was won by Joan Schaeffer with a Net score of 32.

The Ken O’Brien Biathlon was played May 31st, and Winslow Renderer and Rich Fay were the victors with a net 59. Complete results are here.
OTHER UPCOMING EVENTS
The Women’s Special Cup is coming up Jun 13th, and the Men’s Senior Championship is June 7th. The family-friendly Jagermeister “Remembering Jamie” scramble is Saturday June 6th with a 2:10 PM shotgun start. A flyer for the event is provided here.
The Steamboat Classic Member-Guest is also around the corner on June 26, 27 and 28th, and is one of the larger social outings for the club, with a banquet featured the evening of Saturday the 28th. Please make plans to find a guest to play in this marquis event for the club, or make plans to attend the dinner. A detailed flyer for the event is here.

IN MEMORIAM : GEORGE RICHASON CELEBRATION
There will be a gathering to honor the memory of George Richason who passed away on April 14th. George was the oldest member of the club. The event will be held at the Club on June 13th from 4:30 until 6:30 PM. Plan on attending and sharing your favorite memories of George.

The 2015 Dick Garber Memorial, Leaman Division winners – Sam Lussier and Adam Lussier, with Pro Dave Twohig
The team of Sam Lussier and Adam Lussier took honors in the top division (Leaman Division) in the 2015 Dick Garber Memorial tournament this Memorial Day weekend. The team of Donny Hodgkins and Gene Klos took 2nd.
The Cutler Division was won by Winslow Renderer and Rich Fay, with Jim Worthley and Don Schabaker taking 2nd.

Signups are available for the 2-day Garber Memorial, which is a team best-ball match play event with 6-team divisions featuring five 9-hole matches played Saturday and Sunday, May 23rd & 24th. Last year, Donny Hodgkins and Gene Klos took honors in the 1st division. Complete results from last year’s event are posted here.

The May 10, 2015 New/Prospective Member Day presents an opportunity for members to invite guests to play at the club this Sunday for Free. The Club will simply provide your guest with a Complimentary Pass for the day. Since the Amherst Golf Club is a great place to play golf, we think the guests will certainly consider being members.
Leagues are just starting up, so it’s not too late for new members to sign-up and enjoy the member benefits:
