On a lovely late spring day against a small but competitive field, Jim Hunt carded a 2 over par 72 to win the Amherst Open, first division; tied for net at 68 were Don Hodgkins and Gene Klos; second division winner was a tie at 81 with Paul Appleby and Fran Grover; net winner at 64 was Frank Ficili.
