2019 Garber Memorial Results Posted May 26, 2019

The 2019 Garber Memorial had two divisions of 6 teams this year. The match play 2-ball event has a total of 5 x 9 hole matches x 1 pt/hole = 45 points in play for each team. The Leaman Division ended with a dead heat between the teams of George Hassenfratz and Chris Kamansky  and Bill Dowd and Brad Worthley, with K-Man and Hassenfratz winning the Garber with a playoff that began and ended on No. 1.  Bryan Pelchat and Matt O’Brien won the Cutler Division with the team of Sean Cleary and Jack Jemsek placing second.

On Saturday June 29th, the Hospice of the Fisher Home, where Charlie was a resident during the last days of his life journey, will have its 3RD ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT at Amherst Golf Club.

The Fisher Home is dedicating the 1st Tee in memory of Charlie, a true gentleman, that twice won the 3rd Division Club Championship.

OUR GOAL IS TO RAISE $1000, SPECIFICALLY IN MEMORY OF CHARLIE. If you wish to make a charitable donation, please give or send a check to Dave Twohig at AGC, with the check made out to “HOSPICE OF THE FISHER HOME” with a note on the check “IN MEMORY OF CHARLIE PARHAM”

During one of the first relatively dry weekends of the spring, Tony Jung and Kevin St. Laurent partnered to win the 2019 Amherst 2-Ball Open with a score of 67 Gross. The teams of Mike and Dan Korpita and Kevin Bagge and Andy Rogers were knotted at 2nd with scores of 69. On the Net side, Roger Frant did well being on the 1st and 2nd (tied) Net teams in the Net scoring. Roger and Jeff Gold took first Net on Sunday and 2nd Net was split between the teams of Frant and Sandy McNiven (Saturday) and Glenn and Sandy Allan.
