The Amherst Golf Club Junior Championship was played on Saturday August 30, 2014.  There were three Divisions, age 13-18, 11-12 and age 10.

In the 13-18 year old division, Andrew Hollander took home the Junior Championship trophy with an 84, edging out Joe Yusko and Carl Teschke Jr., who both scored 87.

For the 11 to 12 year old Division, Evan Rutherford won with a score of 96.  JB Mills came in 2nd with a 99 and Eli Kayser-Hirsh was third with a 105.  Filling out the field were Owon Lee, Eli Slovin and Conrad Kang who shot 129, 141 and 154.

Nate Mills scored a 109 to take the the 10 yr old division.

The winner of the Men’s 2014 President Cup was Jesse Morgan IV with a Gross score of 68.  The Men’s Vice President’s Cup was a 3-way tie between Gene Klos, Sam Lussier and Blake Keedy with a Net score of 68.

The Women’s 2014 President’s Cup Winner was Mary Godfrey with a Net score of 75.

The President’s Cup, an annual 18-hole stroke play event with Men and Women Divisions, was played Sunday August 17, 2014.   The Complete results are provided below:

Amherst Golf Club will be offering an 8-week League on Tuesdays for the months of September & October that will begin on September 2nd.  The 2 person teams will play anytime on Tuesday after 12 noon.  You will be responsible to post your team scores with the Pro Shop on Tuesday.   We will offer prizes for Gross & Net play.

The Fee will be $25.00 and you can sign up with Dave Twohig in the Pro shop if you are interested.

The 40th Annual Amherst Open was played Sunday August 10, 2014 with Bill Dowd winning with a score of 73.  The complete results are below:

Amherst Golf Club is taking tee times for the 40th Annual “Amherst Open”, being played on Sunday August 10th.  The 18-hole, stroke-play event will have two divisions based on handicap:  0-11 and 12-30.  An attested handicap is required.

Entry Fee (inc. Greens Fee): Member:  $30, Non-Member:  $50
